[pgn] 1. e4 e5 2. Nc3 Bc5 3. f4 {I only play 3. f4 against this move in the Vienna. More often than not, it will transpose into a calm King’s Gambit Declined.} Nc6 4. fxe5 {4. Nf3 is the more sane move, but I’m not worried about the upcoming fireworks.} Bxg1 5. Rxg1 Qh4+ 6. g3 Qxh2 7. Rg2 Qh3 8. d4 {So my kingside looks like it may be crumbling, but Black is wasting a bit of time and allowing me to control the center.} d6 9. Rf2 {I give up a second pawn to get my bishop into the game.} Qxg3 10. Bf4 Qh4 11. exd6 Bg4 12. d7+ {I figure he either moves his bishop back and wastes a move, or moves his King and puts himself in potential danger.} Kxd7 13. Be2 Nf6 {Now Black is threatening Bxe2 and Ng4, so I have to act fast.} 14. d5 Ne7 15. Bb5+ Kc8 16. Qd4 {I go on the offensive now, planning on simply allowing Black to play Qh1+ and Qxa1 if he so desires.} a6? {This move just does not achieve anything. Black apparently underestimated the danger. It’s hard to figure what Black should really do here. Maybe …Nd7!?} 17. Qc5 {17. Qe5 is also winning.} Nexd5 18. exd5 c6 19. Bxc6 {Keeping control of e8. Black will get mated soon if he captures the bishop.} Qh1+ 20. Kd2 Ne4+ 21. Nxe4 1-0 [/pgn]
